Deal or No Deal?!?

Yes I am addicted to that show. It the thrill of seeing people eliminating cases for a chance at a million buckaroos....and I love the theme music too but dunno what its called.

Anyways, on to some news.

Interview last friday: it went ok but i don't think the outcome is good. They asked alot of "working in a team environment" type of questions. I couldn't answer one question they asked but otherwise i think things are in an ok to not so good standing. I got to work this morning and both my supervisors wanted to know how things went.

I am getting a raise at work. (I've already mentioned this but i'm just excited and want to tell you again). Yes I'm still on wages and my contract is up at the end of the year but I am now going from 17.71 to 18.31 or something in the 18's. I now get to go on flex time too. What that is, is where I can work overtime and bank that overtime to use it for when I want a day off or a couple of hrs etc.

As for work...if I stay with these guys (and i'm not offered that other position) I get alot of xmas days off....ya ready? I get Dec 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31 Jan 1, 2 off. I would have to work on the 28th and 29th (eventhough there will be very minimal staff in the office) then I go back to work on the 3rd. And I get paid for all of these days (well, if i don't work on the 28th or 29th then I don't get paid) but still.

My calendar is filling up fast kiddies!

• Dec. 8: Work xmas party. Details: Ramada (near Kingsway + old city centre airport) $25 bucks to go. Dinner + Dance. It'll be after working hrs. I'll get some more details later on cause I can't remember the rest of it. Oh, and fyi....i still need someone to go with *cough* mattie c *cough* maggie *cough*
• Dec. 15: I think there's some sorta lunch goin on at work but I can't remember.
• Dec. 18: Spa night with mz. maggie and mz. grace. appointments have been made (thx mz. maggie)
• Dec. 22: xmas lunch and present exchange with my branch (we're goin out for lunch...somewhere in the downtown area)
• Dec. 23: My Big Day! YAY! but as I have mentioned before, I will be holding my bash in early Dec as mz. maggie is leaving us for two whole weeks! ='( I haven't decided when or what but details will be comming soon (and if there are dates that you'd like for me to accomodate or any suggestions that you'd like to make, just lemme know)

I finally got my blue cross cards (and coverage) in so mz. maggie, I will make a trip down to see you one day to get some new eyes (and possibly contacts too). I get $100 for coverage on frames and lenses and an examination in any 24 consecutive months. And my coverage starts Oct 1, 2006. So I don't have to wait till January as I first thought.

Arg...I wanted to blog a bit more but my mind is drawing blanks
